FAQs from travellers just like you

This depends on a variety of factors. The travel insurance embedded with your credit card is built to meet the needs of most travellers, for most of their trips, but it may not meet your specific needs. Credit card insurance often offers:

  • Limited coverage and trip lengths
  • Lower maximum amounts
  • Major exclusions

It also doesn’t always cover older travellers or extended stays. Additional travel insurance is often necessary.

  • Emergency Medical Insurance covers medical expenses and emergencies you may encounter while travelling.
  • Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance protects the deposits you’ve made and prepaid expenses you booked (such as your plane ticket, hotel, excursions, etc.) if you need to cut your trip short or cancel it entirely.

They are separate products, and cancellation insurance is not automatically included when you purchase travel medical insurance.
